Bledsoe attorneys also recognize the importance of keeping clients apprised of case status as well as providing precise legal analysis of issues affecting case outcome.

The Bledsoe firm was founded in 1947 by Leighton Bledsoe, Paul Dana and Rogers Smith. Since its founding, the firm has focused on the defense of civil litigation matters. Over the years, the firm has counseled clients and defended parties against a wide variety of claims earning Bledsoe the reputation of one of the great trial firms in San Francisco.   Our attorneys are well-versed in the complex dynamics of high-profile, high stakes litigation and trial work. We and are experienced in assisting clients in navigating this intricate process. The firm’s activities have not been confined to the trial level of litigation. An examination of the California Appellate and Supreme Court official reports shows over 175 cases in which the firm was either lead counsel, associate counsel or amicus curiae.

The firm and all those who were or are its partners or associates are and have been litigators. On one occasion, three partners and one associate occupied four separate but adjoining courtrooms at the San Francisco City Hall, each trying a jury trial. With this rich foundation, regardless of practice area or venue, our attorneys are able to evaluate the merit, costs and probable outcome for each matter. While always prepared to aggressively litigate any matter in trial, we also make informed decisions with regard to those matters more suited to Alternative Dispute Resolution and other pre-trial settlement options.
