EXPLODING THE PERILS AND PITFALLS OF DEFENDING PRODUCTS LIABILITY, MUNICIPAL AND EMPLOYMENT CLAIMS

In today’s world, significant exposure claims and litigation often involve a variety of overlapping issues and fact patterns that read like a complicated law school problem. Early recognition and creative analysis of those issues is critical to successfully defending these claims. The seminar will include presentations and in-depth panel discussions by claims industry leaders, defense counsel and national counsel on topics of Products, Municipal, Joint and Several, and Employment Liability. Using the framework of a true to life fact pattern the program will focus on identifying and resolving issues arising when a foreign made HVAC product explodes following installation causing personal injury and property damage and generating claims including products liability; negligent employee supervision; municipal liability for acts of employees; issues including whistleblowers, undocumented workers, discrimination & civil rights liability, and joint & several liability. The discussion will also include a presentation by a nationally recognized speaker on First Amendment issues.
